Paraski!

Winter has been tough on many this year. The cold, the snow, the sicknesses, all took their toil. Everyone is looking forward to spring, and it just can’t come fast enough. While we are waiting for nicer weather to enjoy the sugar bush and the arrival of the snow geese, we took advantage of winter’s unrelenting temperature to photograph people para-gliding at the Montreal Soaring Club in Hawkesbury.

I had told everyone that we needed nice weather and wind. Well we had a bright sun, lots of wind but also the temperature dipping at -14. While it was possibly quasi-perfect condition for para-gliding and Kite Traction activities, it was somehow a bit cold for the photographers. Nevertheless, we were impressed by the colors and the prowess of all those participating in the event, among them some 30 cadets from Gatineau, Quebec.
